Abstract

Differentiation of selected causes of death in selected Czech political districts in the years 1881-1910 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the differentiation of selected causes of death between 1881-1910 in six selected Czech political districts. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to identify regional differences in the causes of death by studying the literature and analysing data from the Austrian Statistical Office. The second aim was to compare this development with the development of causes of death in Bohemia. The analysis was further supplemented by the characteristics of the health status of the population in Bohemia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries with the help of relevant literature. The results in the selected political districts confirm a similar change in the structure of causes of death as occurred in Bohemia during the period under study. Differences in the selected causes of death between the six selected political districts have also been described. A discussion of the quality and reliability of the historical data is an important part of this thesis. Diferenciace vybraných příčin úmrtí ve vybraných českých politických okresech v letech 1881-1910 Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá diferenciací vybraných příčin úmrtí mezi lety 1881-1910 v šesti vybraných českých politických okresech. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo za pomocí studia literatury a na základě analýzy dat z Rakouské statistiky zjistil regionální rozdíly v příčinách úmrtí. Druhým cílem bylo porovnat tento vývoj s vývojem příčin úmrtí v Čechách. Analýza byla dále s pomocí relevantní literatury doplněna o charakteristiku zdravotního stavu obyvatelstva v Čechách na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Výsledky ve vybraných politických okresech potvrzují podobnou změnu ve struktuře příčin úmrtí, k jaké došlo ve sledovaném období v Čechách. Byla také popsána rozdílnost ve vybraných příčinách úmrtí mezi šesti vybranými politickými okresy. Důležitou součástí této bakalářské práce je diskuze o kvalitě a věrohodnosti historických dat.
