Motivace seniorů k učení se cizím jazykům

3 Abstrakt Vzhledem k aktuálnímu demografickému vývoji stárnoucí společnosti a prognóze tohoto trendu i do budoucna nabývá vzdělávání seniorů stále většího významu a to jak pro jednotlivce, tak pro celou populaci. Přestože je toto vzdělávání často cílem výzkumníků, jen velmi málo autorů se zabývá také jazykovým vzděláváním, které je také oblíbenou oblastí vzdělávání seniorů a v České republice je toto téma ještě méně rozpracované než v zahraničí. Kromě funkce edukační může vzdělávání v seniorském věku plnit funkci socializační, která je velmi důležitá pro prevenci před osamělostí, které mohou starší obyvatelé čelit a kterou jsou ohroženi více než jiné věkové skupiny, nebo přispívat ke smysluplnému trávení volného času. Přispívá také k udržování či zlepšování mentální kondice, která je v seniorském věku velmi důležitá. Cílem diplomové práce bude určit, jakou mají senioři k jazykovému vzdělávání motivaci, na jaké nejčastější bariéry při vzdělávání narážejí a jakým způsobem by bylo možné je odstranit. Teoretická východiska přiblíží aktuální situaci seniorského vzdělávání v České republice s důrazem na jazykové vzdělávání a motivaci seniorů ke vzdělávání obecně i v oblasti jazykové, stejně jako bariéry. 4 Abstract Given the current demographic development of an ageing society and the forecast of this trend in the future, the education of seniors is becoming increasingly important for both individuals and the population as a whole. Although this education is often the focus of researchers, very few authors have also dealt with language education, which is also a popular area of education for seniors, and this topic is even less developed in the Czech Republic than abroad. In addition to its educational function, education in the elderly can fulfil a socialising function, which is very important for preventing the loneliness that the elderly may face and are more at risk of than other age groups, or contribute to meaningful leisure time. It also contributes to maintaining or improving mental fitness, which is very important in old age. The aim of the thesis will be to determine what motivation seniors have for language learning, what the most common barriers to learning they encounter and how these barriers could be removed.
