Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to translate two chapters from Carrie Fisher's book The Princess Diarist from English to Czech. The two chapters in question are Upside down and unconscious with yellow eyes and The buns of Navarone. The commentary of the translation focuses on an analysis of the source text and translation problems, including the typology of translation method and shifts.
