Nový cirkus jako dramatické umění. Analýza inscenací nového cirkusu jako cesta k jeho estetickému diskurzu

Abstract

Mým cílem je v disertační práci představit nový cirkus jako druh dramatického umění. Vytvořila jsem proto základní rámec pro analýzu nového cirkusu a navrhla jsem terminologii pro pojmenování jeho specifických vlastností. Tato terminologie vychází především z českého teatrologického prostředí. V disertační práci také popisuji nový cirkus jako součást více diskurzů - historického, estetického, kulturně-politického i pedagogického -, což rovněž určuje jeho multidisciplinární charakter. V teoretickém vymezení nového cirkusu vycházím z některých úvah obsažených v díle Estetika dramatického umění Otakara Zicha a v knize Estetika performativity Eriky Fischer-Lichte. Nový cirkus v disertační práci popisuji z formálního i obsahového hlediska, abych mohla ukázat, jakým způsobem se cirkusová složka ve vztahu ke složce divadelní proměňuje a nabývá na významu. Disertační práce je rozdělena na pět hlavních kapitol. V Úvodu stanovuji základní téma, cíle disertační práce, metodu, terminologii a teorie, z nichž v disertační práci vycházím. V kapitole Nový cirkus a tradiční cirkus představuji historii a vývoj tradičního i nového cirkusu ve vybraných zemích (Francie, Kanada, USA, země Skandinávie), které považuji z hlediska vývoje cirkusových umění za důležité. This dissertation introduces contemporary circus as a type of dramatic art. The work thus provides a basic framework for the analysis of contemporary circus and suggests a terminology for the designation of its specific traits. This terminology is derived first and foremost from the Czech theatre studies environment. The theoretical delineation of contemporary circus stems from selected theses from Otakar Zich's The Aesthetics of Dramatic Art and Erika Fischer-Lichte's The Transformative Power of Performance: A New Aesthetics. Contemporary circus, which is depicted as belonging to several discourses - historical, aesthetic, cultural policy and pedagogical, is described from a formal as well as content-focused point of view in order to best point out how the circus element changes and takes on meaning in relation to its theatrical counterpart. The thesis is subdivided into five parts. The introduction outlines the key theme, goals and methodology as well as terminology and theories which provide the work with a suitable point of departure.
