Komentovaný překlad knihy Maryanne Wolf "Proust and the Squid. The Story and Science of the Reading Brain". Thriplow: Icon Books, 2008, str. 81-100

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce sestává ze dvou hlavních částí - překladu části čtvrté kapitoly z knihy Maryanne Wolfové Proust and the Squid a komentáře k tomuto překladu. Komentář je reflexí překladatelského procesu a skládá se z překladatelské analýzy podle Christiane Nordové, popisu překladatelských problémů a jejich řešení a typologie překladatelských posunů, jak je definuje Anton Popovič. K práci je přiložen i překládaný text.

The bachelor's thesis comprises two main parts: translation of a section of Chapter 4 from Maryanne Wolf's book Proust and the Squid and a commentary of the translation. The commentary is a reflection of the translation process and consists of translation analysis based on Christiane Nord's model, description of translation problems and their solutions and typology of translation shifts as defined by Anton Popovič. A copy of the translated text is attached in the appendix.
