Principes de la Flute J.-M. Hotteterra ve světle dobové interpretační praxe

Abstract

Cílem této práce je komentovaný překlad metodické příručky Jacques-Martina Hotteterra Principes de la Flte Traversire ou Flte d'Allemagne, de la Flte Bec ou Flte Douce et du Haut-Bois (Zásady hry na příčnou flétnu, zobcovou flétnu a hoboj) s přihlédnutím k dobové interpretační praxi a se zvláštním zřetelem k problematice ornamentiky. Jedná se o vůbec první metodickou příručku pro příčnou flétnu, která se ve Francii na začátku 18. století stala jedním z nejoblíbenějších nástrojů. Pro tento překlad vycházím z prvního vydání z roku 1707, které bylo vytištěné v Paříži u Christopha Ballarda. Překlad se drží struktury textu a upřednostňuje českou terminologii, která však v této oblasti často nemá zavedené pojmy. V případě neexistujícího českého ekvivalentu ponechávám francouzský termín. Nejen díky svému prvenství patří Hotteterrův traktát k nejdůležitějším příručkám hry na příčnou flétnu. Je též základním zdrojem informací o dobových dřevěných dechových nástrojích a svědkem provozovací praxe ve Francii na sklonku 17. a začátkem 18. století. Podle velkého počtu reedic a překladů se můžeme domnívat, že příručka byla velmi žádaná a používaná, a až do vydání Quantzova Versuch einer Anweisung die Flöte traversiere zu spielen (Pokusu o návod jak hrát na příčou flétnu), patřila k nejvýznamnější škole hry na příčnou flétnu.

The aim of this work is the translation with commentary of the method by Jacques- Martin Hotteterre Principes de la Flte Traversire ou Flte d'Allemagne, de la Flte Bec ou Flte Douce et du Haut-Bois (Principles of the Flute, Recorder and Oboe) with special emphazis on the historical performance practice and ornamention. It is the first method for transverse flute pro příčnou flétnu, which became one of the most favorable instruments in France in the begining of the 18th century. The translation, which comes out from the first print of 1707 at Christophe Ballard in Paris, maintains the structure of the text and uses preferentially Czech terminology, which, however, lacks the established terms in this field. In a case of non-existing Czech equivalent, the French term is being retained. Not only because of its primacy belongs Hotteterre's treatise to the most important methods for the transverse flute. It is also the basic source for the informations about the period woodwind instruments and wittnesses perfomance practice in France at the turn of 17th and 18th century. The numerous reprints and translations confirms that this method was very much in demand and use, and till the appearance of the Quantz's On the playing the Flute, was considerd as the most significant method for the flute.
