| uk.abstract.en | In October 1968, the (last) conference of Group 47 was to take place at Dobříš Castle near Prague, but the invading tanks made this impossible. Instead, a meeting of Czechoslovak and German -language authors took place in Rüschlikon near Zurich, which has gone down in the history of German -language literature as a “substitute meeting” or no meeting of Group 47 at all. It has received little attention in Czechoslovak literary historiography, even though important literary and individual decisions were made in Rüschlikon against the backdrop of the glacier and in the foehn wind. This article aims to draw attention to this important conference and encourage further research into it. | cs |
