uk.abstract.en | This article examines the reporting of the Neues Tag, the most important German -language daily newspaper in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, which was published in Prague from 1939–1945. Three complexes of reporting are analysed: the reaction to the student protests in October and November 1939, which led to the closure of all Czech universities, the policy of publicising anti -Semitic measures, which documented the exclusion and persecution of Jews, and the change in war reporting from the triumphant initial reports to the admission of retreat and defeat. | cs |
