| uk.abstract.en | Anthologies provide an overview of authors, literary trends, epochs and genres, focus on motifs and themes and follow a literary -political, national -literary or ideological logic. The selection suggests representativeness and orientation. In multilingual societies in particular, anthologies have an integrative -exclusive function; the intention is to valorize the own and to differentiate from the foreign. In contrast, however, they also serve a cross border cultural exchange and are thus part of literary transfer processes. The strategies of cultural transfer are analyzed using the example of German -language anthologies in the Bohemian Lands in the modern era. | cs |
