Komentovaný překlad článku Disruptivität, Transgressivität, Monstrosität: Das Monströse als third term in den Isländersagas od Rebeccy Merkelbach

Abstract

Tato práce se skládá ze dvou částí - první částí je překlad neliterárního textu, druhou částí je odborný komentář k překladu. Překládaný text je zkrácená verze článku Rebeccy Merkelbach Disruptivität, Transgressivität, Monstrosität: Das Monströse als third term in den Isländersagas. Tento článek se zabývá konceptem společenské monstrozity v ságách o Islanďanech, tedy monstrozitou spočívající v interakci se společností. Odborný komentář se skládá z překladatelské analýzy, stanovení překladatelské metody na základě hypotetické zakázky a popisu některých z překladatelských problémů, jejich řešení a překladatelských posunů.

This thesis consists of two parts - the first part is a translation of a non-literary text, the second part is an expert commentary on the translation. The translated text is an abridged version of Rebecca Merkelbach's article Disruptivität, Transgressivität, Monstrosität: Das Monströse als third term in den Isländersagas. This article deals with the concept of social monstrosity in the sagas of Icelanders, i.e. monstrosity based on social interaction. The annotation consists of a translation analysis, the determination of a translation method based on a hypothetical commission, and a description of some of the translation problems, their solutions and translation shifts.
