Abstract

The aim of the first part of this bachelor thesis is to translate the eighth chapter entitled Work- life balance matters most from the book Nine Lies About Work: A Freethinking Leader's Guide to the Real World by two American authors Marcus Buckingham a Ashley Goodall, published in 2019 by Harvard Business Review Press. The second part of the thesis contains translation analysis of the original text, description of the method, the main translation problems and their solutions and translation shifts which occurred during the translation process.

Cílem první části této bakalářské práce je přeložit osmou kapitolu nazvanou Work-life balance matters most z knihy Nine Lies About Work: A Freethinking Leader's Guide to the Real World od dvou amerických autorů Marcus Buckingham a Ashley Goodall, vydané v roce 2019 nakladatelstvím Harvard Business Review Press. Druhá část práce je věnována komentáři, který obsahuje překladatelskou analýzu výchozího textu, popis zvolené metody překladu, hlavní překladatelské problémy a jejich řešení a posuny, k nimž při překladu došlo.
