Fotografie ve službách propagandy: Manipulativní techniky ve fotografii na příkladu srovnání denního tisku a fotopublikací nejen Klementa Gottwalda v letech 1948-1953

Abstract

Práce se zabývá manipulací fotografií Klementa Gottwalda a Antonína Zápotockého, přičemž hlavní důraz je kladen na odkrývání opakujících se vzorců manipulace a jejich propojení s daným dobovým kontextem. Cílem práce je popsat jednotlivé nalezení vzorce manipulací ve fotografii. Obsahová analýza originálních a zmanipulovaných snímků výše zmíněných politiků přinesla popis nejčastějších úprav a zásahů do fotografií v souvislosti s těmito dvěma osobami. Tato práce byla vypracována s vědomím aktuálnosti tématu, jelikož v dnešní době je úprava fotografie jednodušší než kdy dříve a manipulativní techniky se sice proměňují, jejich účel a důvody ale zůstávají. Jedná se například o budování kultu osobnosti, mazání nepohodlných osob a podobně.

The thesis focuses on the manipulation of photographs of Klement Gottwald and Antonín Zápotocký, with the main emphasis on uncovering recurring patterns of manipulation and their connection to the historical context of the time. The aim of the thesis is to describe the identified patterns of photographic manipulation. A content analysis of the original and manipulated images of the aforementioned politicians provides a description of the most common edits and interventions made to their photographs. This thesis was undertaken because, in today's world, photo editing is easier than ever, and although manipulation techniques have evolved, their purpose and motives remain the same. These include, for example, building a personality cult, erasing inconvenient individuals, and similar objectives.
