The article discusses the problems dealing with the delimitation of gravitation areas of commercial and service centres. The authors point out the theoretical and practical significance of analysis of regional range of individual service centres. The basis survey of models applicable in the solution of these questions is presented together with a gravitation model in the form of what is called "probable gravitation to the centres of services." More attention is paid to the expression of individual parameters in the mathematical formulation of this model (i. e. mass, distance, exponent of distance). The version working with the sale-turnover as the mass and the geometrical distance from the centres to the given living quarter connected directly by public transport, is stated to be the most convenient modification of the model. The mode] is verified by confronting its results with the results of the public survey. The confrontation shows the ways of further work with this modelcs
