Cílem práce je tyto motivy zasadit do společensko-historického kontextu a pokusit se o porovnání všedního života v Nizozemsku a v Čechách v průběhu druhé světové války.
The bachelor thesis analyses and compares the motifs that appear in the novels Kort Amerikaans by the Dutch writer Jan Wolkers and The Cowards by the Czech writer Josef Škvorecký. The aim of this thesis is to give those motifs a social-historical background and to try to compare everyday life in the Netherlands and in Bohemia during the Second World War.
