Méně známí malíři pro klášter v Oseku ve vyznění baroka

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými barokní malbami visícími v ambitu cisterciáckého kláštera a v klášterním chrámu Nanebevzetí Panny Marie v Oseku. Snaží se přiblížit malířská díla méně výrazných barokních umělců Václava Antonína Lihma, Gerarda Angelmayera a Benedikta Kerna. Zároveň se snaží zasadit jejich uměleckou tvorbu do situace v klášteře. V první části popisuje klášter v Oseku jako významné duchovní centrum, které se barokní přestavbou nesmazatelně zapsalo do severočeské krajiny i dějin českého umění. Dále práce detailně představuje jednotlivé malíře ve vztahu ke klášteru i jejich ostatní tvorbu. Následuje popis jednotlivých obrazů z kostela a křížové chodby. Pozornost je věnována výjevům ze života svatého Bernarda z Clairvaux i ostatním světcům cisterciáckého řádu. Zahrnuty jsou rovněž grafické předlohy, které mohly být použity pro malířská díla. The thesis deals with selected baroque paintings that hang in the cloister of the Cistercians monastery and in the monastery's church of the Virgin Mary's Ascension in Osek. It aspires on approaching the paintings of less known baroque artists of Václav Antonín Lihm, Gerard Angelmayer and Benedikt Kern. It also aspires on setting their artistic production into the situation at the monastery. The first part describes the monastery in Osek as an important clerical centre that has ineffaceably inscribed itself into the landscape of Northern Bohemia as well as into the history of Czech Art by its baroque reconstruction. The thesis then introduces individual painters in their relation to the monastery as well as their other production. What follows is the description of respective paintings from the church and the cloister. Particular attention is paid to the scenes from the life of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux and to other saints of Cistercian Order. Graphic artworks that may be used for paintings are also included.
