Informovanost lidí s mentálním postižením v oblasti sexuality

Abstract

This thesis deals with the awareness of people with mental handicap in the area of sexuality and relationships. In the theoretical section defines mental handicap and describes in detail the issues of sexuality and partner relationships for people with mental handicap. This description includes human sexuality and its importace, stereotypes about sexuality of people with mental handicap and its specifications, legal documents pertaining to this issue and its current status. The theoretical part closes the chapter, which charts the possibility of sources of information on sexuality and partner relationships for people with mental handicap. Practical work examines how people with mental handicap know about sexuality and relationships and what sources they draw information. The research method was semi-structured interviews with 5 women and 5 men with mental handicap. At the end of the work there are several recommendation for non profit organization workers how to work with their clients.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá informovaností lidí s mentálním postižením v oblasti sexuality a partnerských vztahů. V teoretické části definuje mentální postižení a podrobněji popisuje problematiku sexuality a partnerských vztahů lidí s mentálním postižením. Do tohoto popisu je zahrnuta lidská sexualita a její význam, předsudky v oblasti sexuality lidí s mentálním postižením a její specifika, právní dokumenty týkající se této problematiky a její současný stav. Teoretickou část práce uzavírá kapitola, která mapuje možnosti zdrojů informací v oblasti sexuality a partnerských vztahů pro lidi s mentálním postižením. Praktická část práce zkoumá, co lidé s mentálním postižením vědí o sexualitě a partnerských vztazích a z jakých zdrojů tyto informace čerpají. Výzkumnou metodou byly polostrukturované rozhovory s 5 ženami a 5 muži s mentálním postižením. Práci zakončuje několik doporučení, na čem by pracovníci neziskových organizací mohli pracovat se s klienty.
