Vzdělanostní odlišnost v partnerském vztahu

Abstract

This thesis deals with the educational difference in relationships, specifically it is aimed on hypogamous relationships in which the woman has higher educational attainment than her partner. Over the last two decades, the proportion of college-educated women has increased relative to men, which leads to an increase in these relationships as well. The thesis research focuses on experiencing, describing and interpreting educationally different partnerships from the viewpoint of tertiary educated women. The empirical part consists of qualitative interviews which show that women do not perceive their partner relationships as hypogamous and do not experience an educational gap between their own and their partner's education. It is evident that there is a more equal division of domestic responsibilities in relationships and that the traditional gendered model of division of labour is disappearing. The results of this thesis contribute to understanding the influence of educational difference on partner dynamics from the perspective of women and suggest a change in gender patterns in contemporary society.

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vzdělanostní odlišnost v partnerských vztazích, konkrétně na hypogamní vztahy, ve kterých má žena vyšší dosažené vzdělání než její partner. V posledních dvou desetiletích vzrostl podíl vysokoškolsky vzdělaných žen oproti mužům, což přirozeně vede také k nárůstu těchto vztahů. Výzkum diplomové práce se zaměřuje na prožívání, popisování a interpretaci vzdělanostně odlišného partnerství očima vysokoškolsky vzdělaných žen. Empirickou část tvoří kvalitativní rozhovory, které ukazují, že ženy své partnerské vztahy nevnímají jako hypogamní a nepociťují vzdělanostní mezeru mezi svým a partnerovým vzděláním. Je patrné, že v daných vztazích dochází k rovnoměrnějšímu rozdělení domácích povinností a vytrácí se tradiční model genderové dělby práce. Výsledky práce přispívají k pochopení vlivu vzdělanostní odlišnosti na partnerskou dynamiku z pohledu žen a naznačují změnu genderových vzorců v současné společnosti.
