Konstrukce etnicity v učebnicích ošetřovatelství diskurzivní analýza vybraných výukových materiálů

Abstract

Předkládaná práce se zabývá konstrukcí etnicity v učebnicích ošetřovatelství. Tato práce vychází z konstruktivistických východisek, které popisuji v úvodní části textu. Hlavním cílem práce je popsat způsoby, kterými je konstruována etnicita ve vybraných učebnicích ošetřovatelství. V úvodní části práce se věnuji konstruktivistickým přístupům k etnicitě, dále se soustřeďuji na význam učebnic, vzdělávání a "etnicitu" jakožto důležitý determinant zdraví. Tyto první dvě kapitoly zdůrazňují význam toho, proč je důležité sledovat "etnicitu" v učebnicích. Část této práce se věnuje také popisu vybraných učebnic ošetřovatelství, teorii a oborům ze kterých učebnice vycházejí. Texty učebnic referujících o "etnicitě" analyzuji z diskurzivních pozic, konkrétně se jedná o diskurzivní analýzu, tak jak jí rozumí van Dijk a další. Výsledky analýzy pak ukazují nejenom samotnou konstruovanost etnicity, ale především způsoby, jakými je v textech vytvářena. Při konstrukci etnicity převládá zdůrazňování odlišností a negativní vyobrazení skupin aktérů a aktérek spojovaných s "etnicitou". Tato zjištění jsou v práci konfrontována s účelem multikulturního ošetřovatelství, oboru, ze kterého texty učebnic vycházejí. This thesis examines the construction of ethnicity in nursing textbooks. The study is grounded in constructivist perspectives, which are outlined in the introductory part of the text. The main objective of the thesis is to describe the ways in which ethnicity is constructed in selected nursing textbooks. The introductory part discusses constructivist approaches to ethnicity and focuses on the significance of textbooks, education, and "ethnicity" as an important determinant of health. These first two chapters emphasize the importance of monitoring "ethnicity" in textbooks. Part of this work is dedicated to describing the selected nursing textbooks, the theories, and the disciplines from which these textbooks originate. Texts in the textbooks referencing "ethnicity" are analyzed from a discursive perspective, specifically employing discourse analysis as understood by van Dijk and others. The results of the analysis reveal not only the constructed nature of ethnicity but also the ways in which it is created within the texts. The construction of ethnicity predominantly emphasizes differences and presents negative depictions of groups of individuals associated with "ethnicity."
