Obsahová analýza lokálních periodických tiskovin územně samosprávných celků

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na kvantitativní obsahovou analýzu radničních periodik čtyř nejlidnatějších pražských městských částí. Cílem je zkoumat objektivitu, vyváženost a schopnost periodik poskytovat obyvatelům relevantní informace o klíčových událostech na místní úrovni. Teoretická část práce se věnuje primárně konceptům politické komunikace, nastolování agend a právnímu rámci upravujícímu vydávání periodik samosprávných celků. Praktická část zahrnuje stěžejní analýzu konkrétních periodik za období od července 2023 do července 2024. Vyhodnocují se navržené hypotézy týkající se politické plochy, alternativních názorů a transparentnosti zveřejňovaných informací. Výsledky analýzy ukazují, že zatímco některé hypotézy jsou potvrzeny, což značí pozitivní aspekty v rámci zkoumaných položek, jiné jsou vyvráceny. Tento rozpor odhaluje oblasti, ve kterých je třeba zapracovat na transparentnosti, vyváženosti a pluralitě názorů. Práce dále přináší doporučení pro zkvalitnění fungování radničních periodik s cílem zvýšit jejich informační hodnotu a podporu demokratické diskuse. Výsledky této analýzy mohou sloužit jako podklad pro další výzkum v oblasti místní politické komunikace a vydávání periodických tiskovin územně samosprávných celků.

The thesis focuses on a quantitative content analysis of the town hall periodicals of the four most populous Prague districts. The aim is to examine the objectivity, balance and ability of the periodicals to provide residents with relevant information about key events at the local level. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses primarily on the concepts of political communication, agenda setting and the legal framework governing the publication of local government periodicals. The practical part includes a pivotal analysis of specific periodicals for the period from July 2023 to July 2024. The proposed hypotheses concerning the political surface, alternative views and transparency of published information are evaluated. The results of the analysis show that while some hypotheses are confirmed, indicating positive aspects within the items examined, others are refuted. This discrepancy reveals areas where work needs to be done on transparency, balance and plurality of views. The thesis also makes recommendations for improving the functioning of town hall periodicals in order to increase their information value and promote democratic debate.
