Derivace deverbálních adjektiv ve vývoji italštiny

Abstract

v češtině Tato diplomová práce se zabývá derivací deverbálních adjektiv v italském jazyce, se zaměřením na vývoj sufixů -evole a -bile. Cílem práce je analyzovat diachronní procesy, které vedly k úpadku produktivity sufixu -evole, a současně sledovat nárůst využití konkurenčního sufixu -bile. Teoretická část poskytuje základní přehled o slovotvorbě, jejích procesech a restrikcích, které ovlivňují derivaci adjektiv. Důraz je kladen na historický vývoj těchto sufixů, přičemž práce využívá data z korpusu CODIT, který obsahuje texty z pěti historických období. Praktická část se zaměřuje na analýzu deverbálních adjektiv s cílem identifikovat dvojice se stejnými bázovými slovesy a na nich zkoumat významové posuny a hodnotit vliv restrikcí na produktivitu těchto sufixů. Závěry ukazují, že sufix -bile postupně nahrazuje -evole v případě, že se výsledná adjektiva se stejnou bází neliší svým významem. Tato práce tak přispívá k hlubšímu pochopení konkrétních diachronních změn v italské slovotvorbě.

in English This thesis examines the derivation of deverbal adjectives in Italian, focusing on the evolution of the suffixes -evole and -bile. The study aims to analyze the diachronic processes that led to the decline in productivity of the suffix -evole, while observing the increasing use of the competing suffix -bile. The theoretical section provides an overview of word formation, its processes, and the restrictions that impact adjective derivation. Emphasis is placed on the historical development of these suffixes, using data from the CODIT corpus, which includes texts from five historical periods. The practical part focuses on the analysis of deverbal adjectives, aiming to identify pairs with the same base verbs, examine semantic shifts, and evaluate the influence of restrictions on suffix productivity. The findings reveal that the -bile suffix gradually replaces -evole when the resulting adjectives with the same base do not differ in meaning. This thesis thus contributes to a deeper understanding of concrete diachronic changes in Italian word formation.
