Pong Čun-ho a jeho prostředky k zobrazení sociálních fenoménů korejské společnosti

Abstract

(česky) Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na jihokorejského režiséra Pong Čun-hoa, jeho život, tvorbu a jím adresované jihokorejské problematiky. Cílem je čtenáři umožnit pochopit nejen důvody, kterými si tvůrce v celosvětové filmové branži vysloužil uznání a ocenění, ale také více porozumět stále populárnější Jižní Koreji i s jejími stinnými, často opomíjenými stránkami. Text je rozdělen na tři hlavní kapitoly. První představuje Pongův život a zasazuje jej do širšího kontextu jihokorejských dějin a kinematografie; druhá rozebírá snímky Mutant, Ledová archa a Parazit po vypravěčské a vizuální stránce; přičemž poslední rozvádí různorodé společenské problematiky, na které tyto snímky odkazují.

(in English): This bachelor thesis focuses on the South Korean director Bong Joon-ho, his life, creations and the South Korean issues adressed by him. The aim is to help the reader to understand not only the reasons that have earned the filmmmaker recognition and acclaim in the global film industry, but also to better understand the increasingly popular South Korea with it's negative, but often neglected aspects. The text is divided into three main chapters. The first one introduces Bong's life and places it in the broader context of South Korean history and cinematography; the second one discusses The Host, Snowpiercer and Parasite in terms of narrative and visual aspects; while the last one elaborates on the diverse social issues to which these movies refer.
