Dějiny ústavu pro hluchoněmé v Českých Budějovicích v letech 1871-1949

Abstract

(česky) Bakalářská práce je příspěvkem k dějinám ústavu pro hluchoněmé v Českých Budějovicích v období od jeho vzniku v roce 1871 po rok 1949, kdy ústav přešel do péče státu. Tento třetí nejstarší ústav pro hluchoněmé v Čechách byl českými a zejména regionálními historiky zcela opomenut. Uvedená práce sleduje události, které formovaly dějiny zmíněné instituce v kontextu s politickou a národnostní situací ve městě a s církevní správou budějovické diecéze spjatou zejména s dobou episkopátu Jana Valeriána Jirsíka.

(in English): The bachelor thesis is a contribution to the history of Institute for the Deaf in České Budějovice in the period from its establishment in 1871 to 1949, when the Institute was transferred to the care of the state. This third oldest Institute for the Deaf in Bohemia has been completely neglected by Czech and especially regional historians. The present work traces the events that shaped the history of the institution in the context of the political and national situation in the town and the ecclesiastical administration of the Budějovice diocese, linked in particular to the time of the episcopate of Jan Valerián Jirsík.
