Abstract

Zénónovy paradoxy a jejich (ne-)řešitelnost prostředky moderní matematiky a logiky Eliška Schůtová Abstrakt: Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na Zénónovy paradoxy ze dvou různých hledisek, nejdříve antického, a poté modernějšího. V historické části jsou představeny jednotlivé paradoxy pohybu a jejich autor Zénón z Eleje. Taktéž jsou zde probrány reakce Platóna a Aristotela. Moderní část se zabývá řešitelností těchto paradoxů z pohledu moderní matematiky a zaměřuje se na Henriho Bergsona a Bertranda Russella a jejich odlišný postoj k problematice Zénónových paradoxů. Zeno's paradoxes and their solution or failure thereof by the means of modern mathematics and logic Eliška Schůtová Abstract: The bachelor's thesis is focused on Zeno's paradoxes from two different points of view, first an ancient one, and then a more modern one. In the historical part, the paradoxes of movement and their author, Zeno of Elea, are presented. The reactions of Plato and Aristotle are also discussed here. The modern part deals with the solvability of these paradoxes from the point of view of modern mathematics and focuses on Henri Bergson and Bertrand Russell and their different position on the issue of Zeno's paradoxes.
