Židovský feminismus v meziválečném Československu

Abstract

Tato bakalá ř ská práce zkoumá období mezi první a druhou sv ě tovou válkou, se zam ě ř ením na ženské židovské spolky v mezivále č ném Č eskoslovensku. Práce analyzuje vývoj t ě chto spolk ů , jejich hlavní programy a vzájemné vztahy s feministickým hnutím jak v rámci Č eskoslovenska, tak i mimo n ě j. Nahlíží na kontakty p ř edních postav feministických hnutí a jejich vzájemnou podporu, č i jejich rozdílné pohledy na programy hnutí. S d ů razem na transnacionální perspektivu zkoumá úsp ě chy Women`s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) v oblastí mezinárodní a lokální pomoci a na výsledky jejich snah. Výzkum vychází z analýzy archivních materiál ů a dobových tiskovin a dokument ů . Klí č ovou postavou v této studii je Marie Schmolková, významná osobnost č eského židovském feminismu. Práce se snaží identifikovat rozdíly ve vývoji č eského židovského feminismu a feminismu č eského a zkoumá, kdy a jak se tyto dva sm ě ry propojily a jaký byl výsledek spolupráce.

This bachelor thesis examines the period between the First and Second World War, with a focus on Jewish women's associations in interwar Czechoslovakia. The thesis analyses the development of these associations, their main programmes and their interrelations with the feminist movement both within and outside Czechoslovakia. It looks at the contacts of the leading figures of the feminist movements and their mutual support, or their different views on the programmes of the movement. With an emphasis on a transnational perspective, it examines the achievements of the Women`s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) in the areas of international and local aid and the results of their efforts. The research is based on an analysis of archival materials and contemporary prints and documents. A key figure in this study is Marie Schmolkova, a prominent figure in Czech Jewish feminism. The thesis attempts to identify the differences in the development of Czech Jewish feminism and Czech feminism and examines when and how the two movements came together and what the result of the collaboration was.
