Abstract

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is a translation of an essay from The Guardian from their online column The long read called The clockwork universe: is free will an illusion? The theoretical part includes an analysis of the source text according to Christiane Nord, an analysis of the translation problems including their solutions and, last but not least, a description of the translation method. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem eseje z časopisu názvem Teoretická část v sobě obsahuje analýzu výchozího textu podle Christiane Nordové, analýzu překladatelských problémů včetně jejich řešení a v neposlední řadě také popis překladatelské metody.
