Democracia, Indígenas y Pachamama: Análisis del discurso de Rafael Correa y Lenín Moreno entre 2007 y 2018

Abstract

The objective of the thesis "Democracy, Indigenous People and Pachamama: Analysis of the discourses of Rafael Correa and Lenín Moreno between 2007 and 2021" is to study and analyze speeches by both presidents of the Republic of Ecuador to perform a comparative analysis, and find similarities and differences between the political discourse of both presidents, both substantive and rhetorical. The analyzed areas/fields are: conceptualization of democracy, role of the political opposition, role of the indigenous population and environmental discourse. In the case of Rafael Correa, the significant speeches in the period from 2007 to 2016 are analyzed; in the case of Lenín Moreno, his speeches between 2017 and 2021. The speeches are analyzed mainly from the rhetorical-argumentative point of view, especially the ideological characteristics of the speeches of both presidents between 2007 and 2021. In the practical part, discourse analysis is used and the analyzed excerpts from the speeches are interpreted. The attention is also paid to some key concepts and phenomena of the Ecuadorian politics and it is analyzed how the both presidents approach these concepts. Diplomová práce "Demokracie, Indiáni a Pachamama: Analýza projevů Rafaela Correy a Lenína Morena v letech 2007 až 2021" si klade za cíl analyzovat projevy obou prezidentů Ekvádorské republiky, provést komparativní analýzu a najít podobnosti a rozdíly mezi politickým diskurzem obou prezidentů, jak obsahové, tak rétorické. Analyzované oblasti jsou: konceptualizace demokracie, role politické opozice, role domorodého obyvatelstva a environmentální diskurz. V případě Rafaela Correy jsou v praktické části analyzovány jeho projevy v letech 2007 až 2016, v případě Lenína Morena projevy v letech 2017 do 2021. Projevy jsou analyzovány z rétoricko-argumentačního hlediska, zejména je kladen důraz na ideologické charakteristiky projevů obou prezidentů v letech 2007 až 2021. V praktické části je využita diskurzivní analýza a analyzované excerpce z projevů jsou interpretovány. Pozornost je také věnována některým klíčovým konceptům a fenoménům ekvádorské politiky a je analyzováno, jak prezidenti k těmto konceptům přistupují. Na základě analýzy projevů obou prezidentů se došlo k závěru, že Lenín Moreno se vzdaluje od politiky a autoritářského stylu svého předchůdce Rafaela Correy.
