Moc korporácií v USA: prípad oligarchizácie?

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou ovlivnění politiky Spojených států nejbohatšími lidmi země v technologickém sektoru v rámci konceptu občanské oligarchie. V první kapitole jsou představeny klíčové definice oligarchie jako od řeckého filosofa Aristotela tak i amerického politologa Jeffrey Winterse. Druhá kapitola je věnována popisu nerovnoměrné distribuce bohatsví ve Spojených státech. Třetí část poukazuje na praktiky nejbohatších lidí charakterní občanské oligarchii jako je lobování, ovlivnění voleb a vyhýbání se daňovým povinnostem. Čtvrtá část seskupuje řešení problému oligarchie ve Spojených státech navrženými ekonomy, právníky a politology. Závěr představuje shrnutí všech aspektů práce s cílem dokázat nebo vyvrátit možnost uplatnění konceptu občanské oligarchie v Spojených státech ve vztahu k nejbohatším lidem z technologického sektoru. This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of influencing the policy of the United States by the richest people in the technology sector within the concept of civic oligarchy. The first chapter presents key definitions of the oligarchy from both the Greek philosopher Aristotle and the American political scientist Jeffrey Winters. The second chapter describes the unequal distribution of wealth in the United States. The third chapter points to the practices of the richest people in a characteristic civic oligarchy, such as lobbying, influencing elections and tax evasion. The fourth chapter groups solutions to the problem of oligarchy in the United States by economists, lawyers, and political scientists. The conclusion is a summary of all aspects of the work in order to prove or refute the possibility of applying the concept of civic oligarchy in the United States in relation to the richest people in the technology sector.
