| dc.description | Vizier Ptashshepses, son-in-law of King Nyuserre, was oneof the most influential officials of the second half of theFifth Dynasty. His life and remarkable career are attestednot only by his very important titles, but also by his imposingmastaba, the largest and once the best decoratednon-royal tomb in the Abusir cemetery. However, his origin,and also his family life seem to be shrouded in mystery.One of the secrets of the vizier’s family is the erasedfigure and name of his eldest son, Khafini. This article isdedicated to this and some other problems concerning thefamily of Vizier Ptahshepses. | |
