Komunitní práce s imigranty

Abstract

The thesis aims to look into the possibilities for the use of community work in the process of immigrant's integration into the society. The community work as an instrument of social work serves as a mean for building mutual bonds within a urban community, encourages development and exercise of the potential of the community and its citizens. This strengthens the active citizenship and involvement of the citizens in the processes that imminently concerns their lives. The thesis desribes the ways of possible inclusion of the immigrants in these processes in order for them to become equal fellow citizens of local communities and equal citizens of the country into which they decide to emigrate. The theoretical and philosophical background of this approach is an implementation and development of the political, civil and social rights that the immigrants acquire when given the permission of stay in certain country. The thesis describes results of a qualitative research lokking into community practise of two cities - Sheffield (United Kingdom) and Graz (Austria). Tato diplomová práce usiluje o prozkoumání možností využití komunitní práce v procesu integrace cizinců do společnosti. Komunitní práce jako nástroj sociální práce napomáhá k budování vzájemných vazeb v rámci komunity, podporuje rozvoj a uplatňování potenciálu komunity a jejích obyvatel a směřuje k posilňování aktivního občanství a participace obyvatel na věcech bezprostředně se jich týkajících. Diplomová práce popisuje způsoby, jakými je do těchto procesů možné zapojovat cizince, aby se tak i oni stali plnohodnotnými spoluobčany dané komunity a plnohodnotnými občany země, do které přicházejí. Teoretickým a filozofickým základem přístupu je uplatňování a rozvoj politických, občanských a sociálních práv, jichž cizinci nabývají spolu se získáním legálního povolení k pobytu ve vybrané zemi, zejména pak trvalého pobytu a občanství. S pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu je přiblížena komunitní praxe dvou zahraničních městech - Sheffield (Velká Británie) a Graz (Rakousko). Na základě těchto příkladů jsou vymezeny oblasti, ve kterých má komunitní práce při integraci cizinců svou nezastupitelnou úlohu, a popsány konkrétní metody, které lze při této práci využívat.
