Gróf Móric Beňovský a stredoeurópske literárne reflexie jeho života a tvorby

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to focus on the traveler, adventurer and Madagascar king Count Maurice de Benyovszky, his life and his work, and to discuss his personality and his significance within the Central European region. We will attempt to name the differences between his portrayal in the literary works of the mentioned area, find the reasons for them and confront them with the historical reality. In addition to that, we will pay attention to various editions of his memoirs and the way of translating them to Slovak and Hungarian language as well. Cieľom predkladanej bakalárskej práce je zamerať sa na grófa Mórica Beňovského, cestovateľa, dobrodruha a kráľa na Madagaskare, na jeho život a dielo, a reflektovať jeho osobnosť a význam v stredoeurópskom priestore. Ide o pokus vysledovať rozdiely medzi jeho zobrazovaním v literárnych dielach spomínaného regiónu, zdôvodniť ich a konfrontovať ich s historickou skutočnosťou. Pozornosť bude tiež venovaná vydaniam jeho denníkov z ciest a spôsobu ich prekladu do slovenčiny a maďarčiny.
