Egyptské vlivy na archaické kúroi

Abstract

Předmětem mé práce je studium řeckých archaických mužských soch, použitých modelů, důvodů výběru těchto modelů archaickými sochaři, zdrojů umělecké tvorby starých Řeků a jejich motivů. Mým úkolem je zároveň snažit se o stylistickou analýzu řeckých kúroi, nikoli o pouze popis podobností a technické stránky této problematiky. Sami Řekové se živě zajímali o počátky jejich umění a původu jejich kultury. Egypt byl pro antické autory velmi příhodným regionem, kde byly spatřovány mnohé paralely.4 Hérodotos vycházel ze svých názorů především ze spisů Hekatea Mílétského, jež Egypt v 6. století navštívil, určité informace nám poskytuje také Diodóros, Manehto, Polybios, Vitruvius, ale i např. básníci jako Archilochos nebo Sapfó, u nichž je patrná tendence individualizace.
