Biskup a král. Vztahy posledních pražských biskupů a přemyslovských králů

Abstract

Biskupové pražské diecéze nebyli jen nejvyššími představiteli církve v Čechách. Působili také na panovnickém dvoře českých knížat a králů, nejen jako duchovní, ale často i v diplomatických službách. Vztahy mezi českými knížaty či králi a biskupy měly významnou dynamiku a proměňovaly se v závislosti na vývoji domácích i mezinárodních událostí i osobních ambicí, sympatií či antipatií jejich aktérů. Práce bude sledovat vývoj vztahů pražských biskupů a českých králů v pozdním středověku v zrcadle jejich kariér, jejich politických a kulturních počinů a dalších zpráv o nich.

Bishops of the diocese of Prague were not only the highest representatives of the Church in Bohemia. They were also active at the courts of Bohemian princes and kings, not only as clergymen, but often also as diplomats. Relations between princes and kings of Bohemia on the one hand and the bishops on the other hand had remarkable dynamics and varied depending on the development of events, both domestic and international, and on their mutual likings or dislikings. The project intends to investigate the progress of the relations between bishops of Prague and kings of Bohemia throughout the late Middle Ages in the mirror of their careers, their political and cultural achievements and other information referring to them.
