Kunstsammlung Adolf Hitlers in Tschechien

Abstract

Cílem práce je popsat v Linci plánovanou výstavu "ideálního" nacistického umění, které Hitler dlouho shromažďoval a schovával na různých místech České republiky. Výchozím bodem zkoumání je klášter ve Vyšším Brodě, kde byla mnohá z těchto děl uchovávána. Práce se zabývá otázkou, proč bylo jako úkryt zvoleno právě toto místo, ale také tím, kde se tyto obrazy, sochy a další díla nacházejí v současnosti. Po druhé světové válce byly spolu s dalšími uměleckými předměty, které pocházely přímo z vyšebrodského kláštera, dopraveny na nejrůznější místa. Závěrečná část práce rozvíjí ústřední téma prostřednictvím rozhovorů s odborníky a dokumentuje samostatné bádání v archivu Vyššího Brodu.

The thesis describes the exhibition of the "ideal" Nazi art planned in Linz. Adolf Hitler was collecting its pieces for a long time and hid them in different places of the Czech Republic. The study focuses on the Monastery of Vyšší Brod, where many the pieces were stored; it investigates reasons why the location was selected as a hiding place as well as where the paintings, sculptures and other works of art are to be found at present. Together with other art objects originating in the Monastery of Vyšší Brod itself, they were relocated to various places. The final part of the work supports the main topic with expert interviews and documents independent research of the matter in Vyšší Brod archives.
