Die Überwindung des Eisernen Vorhangs über Prag - die erste Welle der DDR-Flüchtlinge im Herbst 1989 in der Botschaft der BRD und die Darstellung in der tschecho-slowakischen Presse

Abstract

The bachelor thesis "Passing The Iron Curtain via Prague - the first wave of refugees from the GDR in autumn 1989 in the West German embassy and the portrayal in the Czechoslovakian press" deals with the topic of refugees in the West German embassy in Prague in the year 1989. It focuses on the first of three refugee of refugees in the late summer and autumn 1989 which took place from August to September 1989. Concerning the first wave of refugees in August and September two aspects are being analysed in this bachelor thesis which influence the structure of this scientific paper. The first part deals with the role of representatives of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic during the first refugee wave and how they reacted to the events in the embassy. This part draws especially on documents from Czechoslovakian archives because the Czechoslovakian role in these events has been kept secret from the Federal Republic of Germany. The second part contains an analysis of how the selected Czechoslovakian daily papers (Rudé právo, Svobodné slovo, Lidová demokracie, Mladá fronta a Práce ) reported about the refugees in the West German embassy from August until the departure of the first special trains. Bakalářská práce "Železná opona šla obejít přes Prahu, první vlna uprchlíků z NDR na německém velvyslanectví v Praze v roce 1989 a její obraz v čs. tisku" se zabývá uprchlíky z Německé demokratické republiky na západoněmeckém velvyslanectví v Praze. Předmětem této práce je konkrétně první ze tří uprchlických vln, které v Praze během pozdního léta a podzimu 1989 proběhly, proto je téma této práce časově omezeno jen na srpen a září 1989. V rámci této práce jsou se zřetelem k první vlně uprchlíků na západoněmeckém velvyslanectví v Praze zkoumány dva aspekty těchto událostí, které také ovlivňují její strukturu. První část ukazuje, jakou roli sehráli zástupci ČSSR během této první uprchlické vlny a jak na ní reagovali. Tato část vychází především z dokumentů z československých archivů, protože československá úloha byla před SRN zatajována. Ve druhé části je analyzováno, jak o uprchlících na západoněmeckém velvyslanectví během měsíce srpna až do odjezdu prvních vlaků na konci září informovaly vybrané československé noviny (Rudé právo, Svobodné slovo, Lidová demokracie, Mladá fronta a Práce). Velký důraz je přitom kladen na to, aby bylo především ukázáno jak často, jakým způsobem a v jakém rozsahu o této události informovaly československou veřejnost.
