Abstract

Bakalářská práce "Liberecké krematorium a osobnost architekta Rudolfa Bitzana" se zabývá budovou krematoria v Liberci i osobou jejího tvůrce, architekta Rudolfa Bitzana. Cílem práce je představit realizaci projektu této stavby v kontextu doby jejího vzniku. Zaměřuje se také na kulturně-historické pozadí stavby libereckého krematoria, které je první stavbou krematoria na našem území. Hlavní část práce se soustředí kromě architektury stavby, na umělecko-historický pohled i na uměleckou výzdobu krematoria. Součástí práce je také podrobný popis interiéru včetně porovnáním původní a současné podoby stavby, která utrpěla mnohými rekonstrukcemi. Jedna z kapitol je věnována samotné osobnosti, u nás stále málo známého německého architekta, Rudolfa Bitzana. Kapitola se zaměřuje především na jeho dílo, stručně shrnuje i architektův život a studia. Popisuje Bitzanovy významné architektonické návrhy a realizace nejen v Německu, ale především v oblasti českého pohraničí, kterými jsou například Krušnohorské divadlo v Teplicích, kancelářská budova v Podmoklech či vily v Liberci. Práce nabízí také srovnání s drážďanským krematoriem a dalšími německými stavbami tohoto druhu. Poukazuje na vzájemné ovlivnění těchto staveb a snaží se nalézt architektovu možnou inspiraci.

The thesis is about The Liberec crematorium and the personality of architect Rudolf Bitzan - the creator of the project. The object of the work is to introduce creation of the project in connection with the time of creation. It also focuses cultural - historical background of the building of Liberec crematorium - the first crematorium in our country. The main part of the work concentrates not only on the architecture of the building but also on the artistic - historical aspect and the artistic decoration of the crematorium. Part of the thesis is a detailed description of the interior including comparison between the original an the current look of the building which went through several restorations. One of the chapters is dedicated to the German architect Rudolf Bitzan who is not very well known in our country. The chapter focuses on his work and it briefly summarizes his life and studies. It describes his significant architectonic projects and their implementations not only in Germany but above all in Czech borderland like 'Krušnohorské divadlo' in Teplice v Čechách, office building in Podmokly or villas in Liberec.
