Abstrakt Diplomová práce analyzuje vývoj veřejných knihoven Plzeňského kraje v letech 1990-2010. Práce se soustřeďuje na hlavní problémy vývoje veřejných knihoven Plzeňského kraje z pohledu makrosystému, především objemu dat a změn systému. V prvních třech kapitolách jsou podány obecné informace o veřejných knihovnách a jejich funkcích, informace o Plzeňském kraji (bývalém Západočeském kraji) a o knihovnické legislativě. Hlavní části práce přinášejí charakteristiku dvou časových úseků, 1990-1999 a 2000-2010, ve veřejných knihovnách Plzeňského kraje. Tyto kapitoly analyzují změny, jež zasáhly fungování knihoven, ve sledovaných etapách. Na důsledky změn diplomová práce pohlíží skrze zvolené statistické ukazatele daných let. Tyto změny dokládá v grafické podobě opatřené komentáři. Poslední kapitola uzavírá a hodnotí vývoj veřejných knihoven Plzeňského kraje v letech 1990-2010. dc.description.abstract	This thesis analyzes the development of public libraries in the Pilsen Region in 1990-2010. The work focuses on the major issues of development of public libraries from the perspective of the Pilsen Region macrosystem, especially the volume of data and system changes. In the first three chapters are given general information about public libraries and their functions, information about the Pilsen Region (former West Region) and library legislation. The main characteristic of the work of bringing the two periods, 1990-1999 and 2000-2010, public libraries in the Pilsen Region. These chapters analyze the changes that affected the functioning of libraries in the monitored phases. The consequences of changes thesis looks through the selected statistical indicators of the years. These changes illustrated in graphic form furnished comments. The last section concludes and evaluates the development of public libraries of the Pilsen Region in 1990-2010. Thesis is equipped with text and spreadsheet attachments. [Author's abstract].	en_US
