"Grenzlandschicksal": Ideová konstrukce německého hraničářského románu z Čech - případ Wilhelma Pleyera

Abstract

Základním záměrem této práce je zkoumání instrumentalizace německé radikálně nacionální beletrie. Těžiště práce spočívá v analýze hraničářských románů Wilhelma Pleyera. Cílem této analýzy je interpretace Pleyerova pokusu o konstrukci historické kolektivní paměti českých Němců, odhalení mentálních a literárních stereotypů, klasifikace obrazu jednotlivých národností a také nalezení postupů, jakými Pleyer zobrazuje a hodnotí dobové události na základě porovnání interpretace historických událostí s interpretací, kterou podává současná historiografie. Pozornost je také věnována identifikaci ideových a ideologických zdrojů z nichž Pleyer čerpá. Tato práce se rovněž zabývá revizí životopisu Wilhelma Pleyera a rekonstrukcí vývoje jeho vztahu k ideologii nacionálního socialismu, na základě komparace informací poskytnutých dosavadní literaturou s informacemi získanými z archivních materiálů. The basic theme of this thesis is radically nationalist German fiction. The thesis focuses on analyzing the "Grenzland" novels by Wilhelm Pleyer. The aim is to determine Pleyer's attempt construct a historical collective memory of Czech Germans, revealing mental and literary stereotypes, establishing an image of each nation. In addition, the methods Pleyer uses to show and evaluate the events of the period, by comparing the interpretations of historical and contemporary events, are also revealed and described. Attention is also given to the identification of philosophical and ideological resources on which Pleyer draws. This thesis also deals with the revision of Wilhelm Pleyer's biography and reconstruction of the evolution of his connection to the ideology of National Socialism. This goal is based on a comparison of information provided by the existing literature with that obtained from archival materials.
