Der Wandel des Charakters von Bundeswehr - Auslandmissionen - der Fall des Bosnienkrieges

Abstract

Tématem této bakalářské práce je změna povahy zahraničních misí Bundeswehru - případ války v Bosně a Hercegovině. Tato práce se nejdříve zabývá komplikovaným vznikem německé armády (Bundeswehru) a představuje její první humanitární mise pod vedením mezinárodních organizací. Dále se věnuje diskusi o tzv. Out-of-area nasazeních, která začala krátce před pádem železné opony, a to jak v německém parlamentu, tak i mezi širokou veřejností. Hlavní kapitola se zaměřuje na první zahraniční operaci německých vojáků ve válce v Bosně a Hercegovině. Další část představuje precedentní rozhodnutí německého Spolkového ústavního soudu z roku 1994, která těmto operacím dala právní rámec. Důležitým přínosem práce je reflexe tohoto tématu v českém tisku.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is a Change of character of the Bundeswehr Foreign missions - case of the Bosnian war. Firstly, the thesis deals with complicated establishment of the German army (Bundeswehr) and presents its first humanitarian missions led by international organizations. Secondly, the thesis deals with discussion about so called Out-of-area operations, which broke out shortly before the Iron Curtain fell down, both in German parliament as well as among the German public. The main chapter of this thesis focuses on the first foreign mission of the German soldiers, in Bosnian war. Next part presents the judicial precedent of The Federal Constitutional Court in 1994, which gave the foreign missions a legal framework. The important asset of this thesis is reflection of this topic in the Czech press.
