České Národní divadlo v pražském německém tisku - roky 1881-1883 v Prager Zeitung

Abstract

Cílem této práce je zachytit a zhodnotit reflexi českého Národního divadla a dění kolem něj v období let 1881 až 1883 v pražském německém tisku, konkrétně v deníku Prager Zeitung. Práce také zkoumá, zda je pravdivé běžně rozšířené mínění, že v tomto období se německé obyvatelstvo o české kulturní dění příliš nezajímalo. Součástí práce jsou citace z daných novin a seznam relevantních článků daného období, který mapuje míru zájmu německých čtenářů o české divadelní dění.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the nature and extent of the coverage of the events surrounding the Czech National Theatre as reflected in Prague German daily newspaper Prager Zeitung in the years 1881 - 1883. The thesis also examines if the basic common knowledge, that in this period German population was not very interested in Czech cultural events, is true or not. It also challenges and ultimately disproves the cliché that German population was not very interested in Czech cultural events. Quotations from the newspaper as well as a list of relevant articles that illustrate the interest of German readership in Czech theatre events form an important part of the thesis.
