Vytvarny odkaz Gabriela Maxe zanechal vyznamnou stopu nejen v ceskem vytvarnem umenf poslednf ctvrtiny 19. stoletf, ale take v dobove ceske vytvarne kritice. Tato pnice se pokousf na zaklade sestaveneho katalogu textu, tykajfcich se Gabriela Maxe a jeho vytvarnych del, ozrejmit vztah mezi ume1cem a jeho rodnym mestem.

The artistic legacy of Gabriel Max left a very significant print not just in the Czech fine art of the last quarter of the 19th century but also in the Czech contemporary art critics. On the bases of the compiled catalogue of the texts about Gabriel Max and his paintings this work tries to recover the relationship between the artist and his native town.
