Reflexe bolesti a utrpení v tvorbě umělkyň tří generací

Abstract

The thesis deals with the reflection of pain and suffering in the work of women artists of three generations born during the 20th century; i.e. at the beginning of the century, in the interwar period and in the period during and after the Second World War. By comparing their works with each other, it formulates the changes that occurred in the depiction of pain and suffering. These changes are then interpreted in a cultural and historical context, with an emphasis on key events that took place during the artists' lifetimes and influenced their work in some way. The work also explores the personal context of the artists' work; such as the period of childhood and adolescence, the question of mental and physical health, and the experience of their own dying or the loss of a loved one. Based on the diverse experiences of the artists, the theme of pain and suffering is reflected in many ways, however, it is possible to note a certain analogy.

Práce se zabývá reflexí bolesti a utrpení v tvorbě umělkyň tří generací narozených v průběhu 20. století; tedy počátkem století, v meziválečné době a v období v průběhu a po druhé světové válce. Za pomocí vzájemné komparace jejich děl dospívá k formulování změn, k nimž v zobrazování bolesti a utrpení došlo. Tyto změny jsou následně interpretovány v kulturně-historickém kontextu, s důrazem na klíčové události, které se odehrály za života umělkyň, a jejich dílo nějakým způsobem ovlivnily. Rovněž se práce zaobírá osobním kontextem tvorby umělkyň; jako je období dětství a dospívání, otázka psychického i fyzického zdravotního stavu, či prožitek vlastního umírání, popřípadě ztráty blízkého člověka. Na základě různorodých zkušeností daných umělkyň, je téma bolesti a utrpení reflektováno mnoha způsoby, přesto je možné zaznamenat určitou analogii.
