Inkluzivita v rámci skateboardové kultury: Zkušenosti žen s instagramovými skateboardovými komunitami

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu a interpretaci zkušeností žen ve skateboardingu s využíváním Instagramu v rámci jejich reprezentace a viditelnosti v rámci skateboardingové kultury. V teoretické části se zabývá nejdříve historickými aspekty exkluze žen ve skateboardingu a následně se obrací k jejich inkluzi skrze nová média. Text se opírá o teorii symbolické anihilace, participativní kulturu a feministickou separatistickou teorii. Dále se zakládá na důležitosti sdíleného obsahu, ale také výběru platformy. Cílem výzkumu je analyzovat zkušenosti žen s využíváním Instagramu v kontextu jejich pozice ve skateboardingové kultuře. Práce využívá v rámci kvalitativního výzkumu Interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy a pro sběr dat provádí hloubkové polostrukturované rozhovory. Analýza a interpretace dat ukázala Instagram jako prostředek ke komunikaci se skateboardingovou komunitou a k upevňování pozice v rámci této komunity a dále jako platformu, která se jeví jako zásadní pro přístupnost reprezentace žen ve skateboardingu. Zároveň poukázala na pozici Instagramu jakožto extenzi k offline komunitám, které jím nemohou být nahrazeny. Všechny tyto výsledky se vztahují výhradně ke zkušenostem a prožívání konkrétních žen, které byly předmětem tohoto výzkumu.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis and interpretation of women's experiences in skateboarding with the use of Instagram in the context of their representation and visibility within skateboarding culture. The theoretical part first deals with the historical aspects of women's exclusion in skateboarding and then turns to their inclusion through new media. The text is based on the theory of symbolic annihilation, participatory culture and feminist separatism theory. It puts emphasis not only on the content of a shared message, but also on the choice of a platform. The aim of the research is to analyse women's experiences with the use of Instagram in the context of their position in skateboarding culture. The qualitative research uses Interpretative phenomenological analysis and conducts in-depth semi-structured interviews for data collection. The analysis and interpretation of the data showed Instagram as a means of communicating with the skateboarding community and strengthening of a position within this community, and as a platform that appears to be essential for the accessibility of women's representation in skateboarding.
