Abstract

This thesis explores the topic of supervision and its role in strengthening resilience among social service workers. The aim is to analyze how supervision can contribute to reinforcing workers' resilience, both on a theoretical and empirical level. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part consists of four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the concept of resilience, defining it and describing both the positive and negative factors that influence it. The second chapter outlines the general specifics of social work, including professional demands, the role of the social worker, the risk of burnout, and questions of professionalism. This places the topic of resilience in the context of social work as a profession facing multiple challenges and demands. The third chapter presents supervision as a tool for supporting and developing professionals-discussing its goals, benefits, and risks, with a particular focus on the intersection of supervision and resilience. Emphasis is placed on the resilience potential of supervision, especially through reflection, team support, and the influence of the supervisor. Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem supervize a její rolí v posilování resilience u pracovníků v sociálních službách. Cílem práce je zanalyzovat, jakým způsobem může supervize přispívat k upevňování odolnosti pracovníků, a to jak na teoretické, tak na empirické úrovni. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část je členěna do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje konceptu resilience, který vymezuje a popisuje také pozitivní i negativní faktory, které odolnost ovlivňují. Druhá kapitola přibližuje obecná specifika práce sociálního pracovníka, včetně profesních nároků, role pracovníka, rizika syndromu vyhoření a otázky profesionality a dává tím resilienci do kontextu sociální práce jako profese, která je vystavena mnoha výzvám a nárokům. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na supervizi jako nástroj podpory a rozvoje pracovníků - představuje supervizi v kontextu cílů, přínosů i rizik, a především se zaměřuje na reflexi propojení supervize s konceptem resilience. Důraz je kladen na poukázání na resilienční potenciál supervize v podobě reflexe, týmové podpory a působení supervizora. Čtvrtá kapitola přibližuje specifika práce s různými cílovými skupinami v rámci sociálních služeb, se kterými pracují participanti empirického šetření.
