| uk.abstract.en | The text deals with various types of morphological adaptation of verbs formed from English word bases, which are used by members of the young generation in their communication in Czech. These verbs are formed from English lexemes of verbal or denominative character at different levels of graphic adaptation by formants enabling regular Czech conjugation. On the basis of their affixes, verbs are assigned to individual verb classes, the stem-forming suffix being the sorting element. The research concentrates not only on the frequency of use of formative suffixes, but especially on the previously undocumented frequent fluctuations of individual verbs among particular conjugation types. Attention is also focused on the aspectual distinction of the forms used, including forms derived by prefixes. Verbs are assessed according to their infinitive forms, as well as by examples of their use in sentences, especially in the active participle form, which determines their assignment to conjugation patterns. | cs |
