Krizové situace a potřeby matek pečujících o dospělé dítě se zkušeností se schizofrenií

Abstract

This master's thesis focuses on the needs and experiences of mothers caring for an adult child with schizophrenia in crisis situations. The literature section of thesis describes the concept of informal caregivers and the role of the family in the recovery process of individuals with schizophrenia. The core chapters of the theoretical section explore stress models in caregivers and their experiences with crisis situations. Additionally, models of needs and findings from studies on parental needs are discussed. The final chapter concentrates on available forms of support and services designed for families. The research part has a qualitative character and aims to identify crisis situations and the needs of mothers caring for an adult child with schizophrenia. Main focus is given to crises in social relationships, adaptation crises following the onset of the illness, and mothers' self-care needs. Thematic analysis identified three key themes related to experiences with crisis situations: the early stages of caregiving, access to healthcare during acute psychiatric episodes, and family challenges along with social isolation of mothers. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na potřeby a zkušenosti s krizovými situacemi matek, které pečují o dospělé dítě se zkušeností se schizofrenií. Úvodem teoretické části představíme pojem neformální pečující a roli rodiny v procesu zotavení osoby se zkušeností. Ústřední kapitoly teoretické části se věnují modelům stresu u pečujících a jejich zkušenostem s krizovými situacemi. Rovněž jsou popsány modely potřeb a výsledky studií o potřebách rodičů. Závěrečná kapitola se soustředí na dostupné formy podpory a služby určené rodinám. Empirická část má kvalitativní charakter a jejím cílem bylo identifikovat krizové situace a potřeby matek pečujících o dospělé dítě se zkušeností se schizofrenií. Zaměřili jsme se zejména na krizi sociálních vztahů, krize spojené s adaptací po rozvinutí onemocnění a potřeby matek v oblasti sebepéče. V rámci tematické analýzy byla identifikována tři témata v oblasti zkušenosti s krizovými situacemi: začátky péče, zajištění zdravotní péče v akutních stavech dítěte a rodinné výzvy a sociální izolace matek. V oblasti potřeb matek byla identifikována dvě klíčová témata: potřeba dostupnějších služeb a potřeba osobního prostoru.
