Abstract

Biography of a notable lawyer Dagmar Burešová: a portrait of a lawyer in the second half of the 20th century Abstract This work is dedicated to the life of Dr. Dagmar Burešová. The focus is on her entire life, but the primary focus is on Burešová as an attorney and her status as an attorney after February 1948. The thesis is divided into three thematic areas, i.e. the life of Dagmar Burešová, the practice of advocacy and its development after February 1948, and finally a detailed analysis of one trial. This thesis tries to draw on primary sources wherever possible. Almost all of the information about Burešová's work in the legal profession comes from her personal file, which is located in the archive of the Czech Bar Association. The individual cases discussed in this thesis are based on sources in the archives and also on recollections. Recollections have an irreplaceable role, as written primary sources are often absent and much information would probably not be traceable without recollections. In addition to the archive of the Czech Bar Association, the National Archive, the Archive of the Capital City of Prague, the Archive of Charles University, the Security Services Archive and the Archive of the Office of the President of the Republic were used for the purposes of this thesis. Životopis význačného právníka Dagmar Burešová: portrét advokátky 2. poloviny 20. století Abstrakt Tato práce se věnuje životu doktorky Dagmar Burešové. Pozornost je věnována celému životu, avšak primárně se věnuje Burešové jako advokátce a advokátnímu stavu po únoru 1948. Práce je rozdělena do tří tematických okruhů, tj. život Dagmar Burešové, výkon advokacie a její vývoj po únoru 1948 a nakonec detailní rozbor jednoho soudního procesu. Práce se snaží se vycházet z primárních zdrojů tam, kde je to možné. Skoro všechny informace o působení Burešové v advokacii vychází z její osobní složky, která se nachází v archivu České advokátní komory. Jednotlivé případy, které jsou v této práci rozebrány, vychází z pramenů v archivech a také ze vzpomínek. Vzpomínky mají svoji nezastupitelnou roli, jelikož psané primární zdroje často absentují a mnoho informací by se bez vzpomínek zřejmě ani nedalo dohledat. Kromě archivu České advokátní komory pro účely této práce posloužil Národní archiv, Archiv Hlavního města Prahy, Archiv Univerzity Karlovy, Archiv bezpečnostních složek a Archiv Kanceláře prezidenta republiky. Práce se snaží maximálně využít všechny rozhovory a jakékoliv zmínky o Dagmar Burešové, které se autorovi podařilo dohledat.
