Remediace rozhlasu v Česku: zpravodajské podcasty a jejich publikum

Abstract

In my dissertation, I focus on Czech news podcasts as the remediation of linear radio in the 21st century. I situate this still relatively young medium in the context of the convergent transformations of the digital age, characterize its specifics, and define its contemporary forms based on available literature. News podcasts have become part of the portfolios of all major institutions, from radios and newspapers to online news sites. In the analytical part of the work, I explore why they started to emerge within established media institutions, what form they take, and especially why audiences listen to them and what they think about them. I seek answers to these questions through in-depth interviews with the podcast teams of six selected news podcasts in the Czech Republic and focus groups I conducted with 30 listeners aged 20 to 49. Through interpretative phenomenological analysis, the obtained data allows me to identify ten fundamental phenomena and seven additional associated sub-phenomena that address the factors explaining the role, function, and diversity of news podcasts in the Czech media landscape. Ve své disertační práci se věnuji českým zpravodajským podcastům prizmatem remediace lineárního rozhlasu v 21. století. Toto stále relativně mladé médium zasazuji do kontextu vyplývajícího z konvergentních proměn digitálního věku, charakterizuji jeho specifika a na základě dostupné literatury definuji jeho současné podoby. Zpravodajské podcasty se staly součástí portfolií všech velkých institucí, od rádií přes deníky až po online zpravodajské servery. V analytické části práce se soustředím na to, proč začaly v rámci etablovaných redakcí vznikat, jakou mají podobu, a hlavně pak proč je publikum poslouchá a co na ně říká. Odpovědi na tyto otázky hledám cestou hloubkových rozhovorů s autorskými týmy šesti vybraných zpravodajských podcastů v Česku a focus groups, které jsem vedl se 30 posluchači a posluchačkami ve věku od 20 do 49 let. Získaná data mi prostřednictvím interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy umožňují pojmenovat deset zásadních fenoménů a sedm dalších přidružených subfenoménů, které se dotýkají faktorů vysvětlujících roli, funkci a rozmanitost zpravodajských podcastů v české mediální krajině.
