Fenomén anti-ageing estetické chirurgie v České republice z pohledu kritické sociální gerontologie: Sociální aktéři, procesy a společnost

Abstract

The present dissertation, the topic of which is the personified perception of beauty and ageing by women who (will) have experience(s) with anti-ageing cosmetic/aesthetic surgery procedures and the journey leading to cosmetic/aesthetic surgery procedures, was written in the framework of the studies in the program of Longevity Studies at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University, with the support of a grant from the GAUK and the SYLFF program, both of which the author is the principal investigator. The main aim of this dissertation was to understand women's lived experiences of cosmetic/aesthetic surgery and their perceptions of their beauty and ageing. The second level of research focused on the journey (journey through the cosmetic/aesthetic surgery process) that leads or has led women to undergo anti-ageing cosmetic/aesthetic surgery procedures. This part focused on the perspective of the female potential patient/client but also gave space to aesthetic surgeons, two female managers of aesthetic surgery clinics, and one surgical nurse. Předkládaná disertační práce, jejímž tématem je zosobněné vnímání krásy a stárnutí ze strany žen, které mají zkušenost/i se zákroky anti-ageing kosmetické/estetické chirurgie a cesta vedoucí k zákrokům kosmetické/estetické chirurgie, vznikla v rámci studia v programu Studia dlouhověkosti Fakulty humanitních studií Univerzity Karlovy, za podpory grantu GAUK a programu SYLFF, jejichž je autorka v obou případech hlavní řešitelkou. Cílem této disertační práce bylo porozumět žité zkušenosti žen s kosmetickou/estetickou chirurgií a jejich vnímání krásy a stárnutí. Druhá rovina výzkumu se zaměřila na cestu, jež vede či vedla ženy k podstoupení zákroku anti-ageing kosmetické/estetické chirurgie. Tato část se věnovala pohledu ženy-potenciální pacientky/klientky, ale dala také prostor lékařům a lékařkám kosmetické/estetické chirurgie, dvou manažerkám klinik estetické chirurgie a jedné operační sestře. Tato disertační práce se skládá z osmi odborných článků. V době psaní této práce byly publikovány v recenzovaných periodikách dva články, čtyři články byly v recenzním řízení, jeden v přípravné fázi, a jeden článek byl výsledkem akademické soutěže Map the System.
