Možnosti naplňování potřeb neformálních pečovatelů v Česku: inspirace portugalským modelem

Abstract

Diplomová práce se soustředí na neformální pečovatele v České republice a možnosti, jak naplňovat jejich potřeby. Inspiraci si pak práce bere v portugalském modelu statutu neformálního pečovatele, který by právě mohl být účinným nástrojem pro naplňování potřeb neformálních pečovatelů. Hlavními cíli práce jsou identifikace hlavních oblastí potřeb neformálních pečovatelů a následné navrhnutí legislativního opatření statutu neformálního pečovatele v Česku. Výzkum je proveden na základě kvalitativní analýzy, kdy data byla získána na podzim roku 2024 pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s neformálními pečovateli z České republiky. Výzkumu se účastnilo 8 pečovatelů, z čehož bylo 6 žen a 2 muži. Zjištění ukazují, že mezi hlavní potřeby pečovatelů se řadí finanční podpora, legislativní uznání jejích role, vyšší dostupnost odlehčovacích služeb a lépe dostupné a přehlednější informace o možnostech podpory. Součástí práce je také návrh znění statutu neformálního pečovatele, který by mohl být zavedený v České republice. Zajištění vyšší podpory neformálním pečovatelům by mohlo mít pozitivní vliv na zlepšení kvality života pečovatelů i opečovávaných a tím napomoci i k stabilizaci a zlepšení situace související se stárnutím populace.

The master thesis focuses on informal caregivers in the Czech Republic and the possibilities to meet their needs. The thesis takes inspiration from the Portuguese model of the status of informal carers, which could be an effective tool for meeting the needs of informal carers. The main objectives of the thesis are to identify the main areas of needs of informal carers and then to propose a legislative measure for the status of informal carers in the Czech Republic. The research is based on qualitative analysis, where data was collected in the autumn of 2024 through semi-structured interviews with informal carers in the Czech Republic. Eight caregivers participated in the research, of which six were women and two were men. The findings show that the main needs of carers include financial support, legislative recognition of their role, increased availability of respite services, and more accessible and transparent information about support options. The paper also includes a proposal for the formulation of a statute for informal carers that could be implemented in the Czech Republic. Providing more support to informal carers could have a positive impact on improving the quality of life of both carers and the cared for, and therefore help to stabilise and improve the situation related to the ageing...
