Připravenost personálu na úmrtí klienta v nezdravotnických zařízení

Abstract

Smrt patří mezi jedno z nejzákladnějších témat, které lidstvo provází již od úplných počátků. Cílem práce je získat hlubší podvědomí o tom, jakým způsobem mohou zaměstnanci v nezdravotnických zařízeních vnímat úmrtí klienta během výkonu práce. Hlavním subjektem v mé práci jsou zaměstnanci, kteří pracují v nezdravotnických institucích, kde se mohou setkat se smrtí s klientem. Tato práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části práce se zaměřuji na smrt jako takovou, jakým způsobem na ní nahlíží různé kultury, stručná historie popisující smrt od středověku po současnost, pohled na smrt v dnešní společnosti, stádia truchlení, přístupy k truchlení a thanatologie. V druhé částí rozebírám výzkum, který byl proveden formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů v pečovatelské službě, domově pro seniory v Rožmitále pod Třemšínem a věznici Jiřice. Death is one of the most fundamental themes that have accompanied humanity since the very beginning. The aim of this paper is to gain a deeper understanding of how staff in non-medical settings may perceive the death of a client during the course of their work. The main subjects in my thesis are employees who work in non-medical institutions where they may encounter death with a client. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focus on death as such, how different cultures view it, a brief history describing death from the MiddleAges to the present, the view of death in today's society, stages of grief, approaches to grief and thanatology. In the second part, I discuss the research that was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews in a nursing service, a home for the elderly in Rožmitál pod Třemšín and Jiřice prison.
